Company Profile

e-Ray factory, Taoyuan, Taiwan

e-Ray Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. was officially established in September 2000, following the joint efforts of Mr. Huang Chih-Chien of Realtek Semiconductor Corp. and Mr. Huang Wen-Chin of Hailsun Chemical Co., Ltd. (main shareholders of the company).

Following preliminary R&D efforts on CD-R, OLED and PLED-related technologies, started in 1998 by Hailsun Chemical, e-Ray was established to further develop these technologies and set-up production facilities for commercialization. The first products commercialized by e-Ray were a series of CD and DVD dyes and quenchers (including intermediates), as well as a few OLED and PLED material.

In the small molecular field, the company has successfully introduced a series of electron transport, hole injection and hole transport material, as well as full-color host material and dopants. Besides its in-house efforts, e-Ray is working closely with scholars and researchers to develop new generation OLED material with improved EL performance and lifespan.

In the polymer field, e-Ray is constantly using different polymerization technologies to develop new series of polymer-based light emitting material. Our main efforts are centered on the development of such material for the PLED sector; but other resources are also being utilized for the development of material for use in ink jet printing applications.

In addition to the above technologies, e-Ray has also recently developed products in the organic photoconductor (OPC) field with the introduction of a series of hole transport materials that offer high mobility, excellent anti-crystallization and high solubility in organic solvents. Current research will soon lead into the development of high quality charge generation and electron transport material.

At e-Ray, we are confident of the upcoming growth of the OLED, PLED and OPC sectors. We are therefore committed in providing device manufacturers with high quality material at competitive prices.
